  • Canaima National Park, Venezuela – Angel Falls: The world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall gushes from great heights, forming a UNESCO World Heritage Site.   • Isla Holbox, Mexico – Swim with Whale Sharks: Local Scientists say the waters off the cost of Holbox Island in Mexico are teeming with the densest population of whale sharks on the planet. This relatively unknown Caribbean island is also starting to attract sport fishermen with its bountiful harvests and laid-back latin vibe.   • California to Maryland, USA – Race Across America by Bike: Serious athletes bike 3000 miles over twelve days, making RAAM one of the longest endurance events in the world. The solo start is June 10th and team start is June 14th, 2014, in Oceanside, California.
  • Edirne, Turkey – Kirkpinar Oil Wrestling Competition: (June 29th – July 5th) This unique festival is a UNESCO Intangible Heritage Event that dates back to the 14th century. The wrestlers represent all ages, body types, religions and races, and are seen as heroes of bravery and honor in Turkish culture.

  • San Francisco, California, USA – San Francisco Pride: This largest celebration of its kind in North America starts on June 28th and continues with a world-famous parade on June 29th. Grab a costume and join the fun in one of the most energetic cities in the United States.
  • Kanazawa, Japan – Hyakumangoku Matsuri Festival: (June 6-8th) This impressive celebration of history and culture starts with dancing and fireworks, and concludes at sundown with lanterns floating down the river.
  • Cuzco, Peru – Inti Raymi Festival: One of the largest festivals in South America celebrates the winter solstice in the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. The week before is full of impressive dancing, music, and street fairs, culminating on June 24th with a sacred procession to the Temple of the Sun.
